Mislim, ok, niko nije savršen, pa nije ni Jelena Janković, ima svoje vrline i mane, možete da je volite više ili manje. Međutim, ono što mene izuzetno nervira, ne samo u ovom slučaju, već generalno, je kada ljudi naprave lošu sliku o nekome na osnovu netačnih ili nepotpunih informacija. Kontekst is a bitch.
Tako je i sinoć bilo kada je na tviteru neko poslao Janku deo Jelenine konferencije:

Nedugo potom, Janko je kopirao to i kao svoju reakciju stavio "Lame?" da bi izbrisao taj tvit, nakon što mu je Džejms La Rosa (novinar Tenis Channel-a) tvitovao da je Jelena pre toga rekla neke veoma lepe stvari o njemu, a da je ovo što je kopirano iz konteksta da ne želi više da priča o drugim stvarima.
E, sad, naravno da je situacija ispala bez veze, ali interesantno je da i danas svi pričaju ovu priču, a da se pri tom niko nije potrudio da ode na sajt, nađe Jeleninu konferenciju i vidi šta je to zapravo bilo. Neki ne žele, jer bi pokvarili argument za pljuvanje, neki ne umeju, a neke i baš briga. Mene je briga i stalo mi je da bar onima koji čitaju ovaj blog dam potpune informacije. Konferencija dakle ide ovako:

JELENA JANKOVIC: I'm here to play (laughter). I'm at the US Open. We're in New York. I'm just excited to be here. I'm really not thinking in this moment about any other things except playing my matches and really giving my best.

JELENA JANKOVIC: It's great for Serbian tennis. I'm happy she's doing well. I hope we can continue like this. It's been quite a while since we've all been quite far in the tournament. I think it's been two years. There were times when there were three of us in the semifinals, finals. It would be good so that we can go into tournaments and do really good again.
Q. Did you watch Janko's match?
JELENA JANKOVIC: I thought he played really well. It was an amazing match. Really, congratulations to him. He was just really on his game last night. He was really impressive. Really happy for him that he was able to win. It was a really good win for him. Is not easy playing Andy Roddick here on a night match, American crowd. It was really tough. But I think Janko handled it very well. He did a great job, so congrats to him.
